Detamore Family

I Love working with families. Each one has a different story and life experiences. I love learning from others’ experiences.

The one thing all families (at least the ones I work with) have in common is the love they have for each other. I am honored that I have the privilege to work with so many amazing families. Every family teaches me something and my ability to love people well gets even deeper.

This family was so fun. I really enjoyed working with them. It had been awhile since they had family pictures done and I think they were a bit nervous. They quickly warmed up and I love how their images turned out.

This family is in a year of great change. Their oldest is going to be a senior and that brings a completely new season to life. They have had a taste of what it will be like when the oldest goest to college because he already is a way for high school. The transition to parenting and adult child is hard. There are so many things where you want to interject and tell them what to do, but can’t because its now their decision and we become the soft place to fall when needed.

I am in the same place with my oldest. I am hoping I gave her enough tools and opportunities to make wise decisions, but you dont know for sure until they are out in the world making decisions. It’s a weird time.

The one thing I know for sure about this family is they all have each others back. They have so much love and respect between them that they can and will overcome any challenge. These parents have raised their boys to be gentleman. They are kind and respectful, smart and funny. I had such a great time getting to know them better.
