I am knee deep in youth hockey pictures right now. Busy would be and understatement. But I love it!!
Hockey players have a special place in my heart.
My son is a hockey player, I manage his hockey team, and I love all his teammates like my own.
There is a tenacity that all hockey players seem to have.
A grit that allows them to keep working hard even in seasons of tough challenges and losses.
This year has been a particularly tough year for young hockey players.
With virtual schooling, election madness and the second wave, our young players are feeling the stress.
But a couple times a week these hockey players are able to step put on the cold, smooth, ice and have 60 glorious minutes where the only thing on their mind is working hard and chasing that puck.
For just a few moments they get to forget about the craziness of the world and just focus on the game they love, and the team that has become family.
Sometimes that brief pick me up is just what they need to get though to the next week.
Adapt-they have!
I am inspired everyday by these young people. Their hearts are big, they support each other and they adapt faster than the rest of us.
