Tuesday was SCOTUS rally day.
We were in DC for two Supreme Court cases ADF is arguing, and one of those days involved a rally to save women’s sports. It was one of those mornings where you know the outcome of today carries weight for years to come.
The weather was cooperative again. Still chilly jacket weather, but calm. No wind cutting through you. No rain. Just a clear, steady day, which helped lighten the mood.
There were probably 1,000 people at the rally. That’s the biggest rally I’ve ever been to and our side definitely had the bigger crowed. And the speaker lineup was powerful. Speaker Johnson, Riley Gaines, and several female athletes who have had to compete against biological males. Real girls with real stories. You could hear it in their voices, their frustration and the grief. But also courage. Courage to stand up and speak when no-one else would.
And while our side was large, the other side had a big crowd too. The energy was tense between the sides. But what surprised me was this.
There were people standing with us that you wouldn’t expect.
Signs that said Democrats for saving women’s sports.
Signs that said liberals saving women’s sports.
Groups and voices who normally wouldn’t align with us were there for this issue.
And I kept thinking, the Lord is planting seeds.

Sometimes we assume the world is so divided that there is no middle ground. No conversation. No possibility of hearts softening.
But that day, I saw it.
I saw Christians who stood firm but still stayed kind. I saw people intentionally choosing to talk like humans, not like enemies. And that mattered to me more than I expected.
Because here’s what I believe. Kindness is not weakness. Kindness is leadership.
It’s easy to be firm when you’re surrounded by people who agree with you. It’s a different kind of strength to stand firm while staying gentle.
We won’t know how the Court rules until June, so we’re waiting. And we’re hopeful. But even without knowing the outcome yet, I walked away with this unexpected sense of hope.
Hope that seeds were planted in conversations.
Hope that kindness made an impact.
Hope that the Lord is working behind the scenes in ways we can’t see yet.
Sometimes you don’t get to see the fruit right away. Sometimes you just get to plant.
And you have to trust God with the harvest.
Look out for part 3.
Love & Blessings,
